The Magasanithippa villagers face lot of difficulty in day to day life as there is no drinking water.

Recently HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji visited Amalapuram for Sri Rama Navami celebrations. During His stay there, HH visited a village named Maghasanidippa. It is on one of the numerous islands in the Godavari delta.  The surroundings are all saturated with salt water from the ocean. Currently, the villagers are collecting drinking water by digging wells at a site 3 km away and bringing it back by foot. Even this relatively consumable drinking water is salty. They are forced to use salt water only which is effecting their health and causing many problems in the new born, women, young and old adults.Villagers also collect and store rain water for future use. However, stored water becomes contaminated by insects after some time. Still, the villagers have no other option but to boil and drink from the same contaminated store. Hundreds of cows(Ongole breed) in the forest are also been reported dead due to water scarcity.

As an immediate solution, a mineral water plant was built and inaugurated by HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji , Vikasatarangini. However, to ensure continuous water supply, a water pipeline should be laid. It is estimated to cost Rs.50 lakhs.  If everyone joins and contributes Rs 100 only, it will help is pooling up the required money. A collective small effort will be of great help to the villagers.
