The story of the Telugu poetry – Padyam- is a millennium old.The unknown or untold story go back to another millennium. Telugu neeti padyalu(moral poems) help children teach the moral values of life by simply showing the small picture of the life incidents in fewer lines.
VikasaTarangini Rajam branch is doing a great part in spreading this knowledge of Telugu literature among the children. Recently they have conducted competitions in these Padyams under the supervision of TTV RamanaMurthy. Speaking to the attendees, chief guest Gatti PapaRao and Kotha Sai Prashanth Kumar said that VT Seva Rajam group is doing a great service in keeping the Telugu literature alive and preparing the generation to take it forward. These moral poems (Padyalu) help children understand in choosing between good and bad in simple verses. This ancient knowledge helps children in becoming good citizens when the depth of these poems are well understood.
Prizes were distributed among the kids who have won the competitions. The participants were divided into four categories and the competitions were held.
- Private school 4-5 grades
- Private high school 6-7 grades
- Govt primary school 4-5 grades
- Govt high school 6-7 grades
Children from different schools have participated in the competitions and showered their talents.
