June 11 2007 news details:
HH Sri Swamiji has created a new occupation for the people living in remote tribal forests of Allampalli by training them to make agarbattis (incense sticks) for sale. Good roads have been laid to connect to this village. The tribal school has become the center for all activities. The local people of these tribal villages are inspired by the mission of this school. They are voluntarily giving up habits like drinking alcohol and eating meat. The villagers are making agarbattis (incense sticks) in their spare time and selling them to support their community.

Everyone is working in unison for the development of the area.
Jeeyar Gurukulam is the center for educating the children as well as for inspiring the villagers to do many service activities.

Aug 15 2006 news details:
The Jeeyar Gurukulam (School) in the remote tribal forest area of Allampalli celebrated Independence Day on Aug 15th.  For the first time, all the tribal people from all 11 Thandas (remote tribal groups) of the dense forest have attended, enjoyed and  understood the greatness of the day!!  HH Sri Swamiji conveyed Mangalasasanams (Blessings) to the 320 tribal students studying in the school,  and all the villagers, for their grand celebration and awakening light of “Education” in neglected Tribals.

Pre-Aug 2006 news details:
The inauguration of Jeeyar Gurukulam (School) Hostel for 100 students at Allampalli went well.  The District Collector Smt. Sudha Rani  felt  happy  that a great work is being done by Vikasa Tarangini Seva at Allampalli in the most needed place of the remote forests. Her first observation was “The toilets for children are so good.  We are not able to provide like this even in our city hostels.”  Dignitaries like DEO and MRO (Mandal Revenue Officer) accompanied her. The Collector said “I wish we brought some of our teachers to witness this function and see how well disciplined these children are and how well they are chanting the slokas and prayer songs”.

The Collector initially wasn’t in favor of building these schools in remote areas due to lack of accessibility and Government funding. Though reluctant initially, the Collector was drawn by the spirit of Vikasa Tarangini Seva volunteers, the proposed plan and HH Sri Swamiji’s vision, she approved the project.

The Collector was so impressed and amazed with this noble deed that she announced, a Power Transformer will be provided at the school to improve power supply and a Water Tank for storage purposes.  She also promised to do her best to improve the approach road which was just laid by the villagers during the school construction. She toured the school and hostel, even joined the tribal children for a meal and also joined serving meal to the children.
