They have successfully conducted camps in the village of Dakamarri and surrounding hamlets with the help of doctors by conducting tests for detection of cancer and guiding them to the hospitals for necessary medical treatment.
Doctors felt happy that the patients were brought in at the right time.
Volunteers led by Smt. A.Vijayaunder the VTSeva mission of Health Protection (Arogya Vikas) formed as a team to work in the rural areas.

The project was initiated with an amount of Rs.51,000/-

However, more funds need to be collected in later phases, reports Smt.Vijaya. The team members selected Dakamarri village, visited the village to get acquaintance with the socio-economic conditions and health infrastructure of the village. They met the local village head, the doctors and the paramedical staff at the Primary health Care Centre which is about 10 Km far away.
