With the divine blessings of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Taking action on World Cancer Day, 4th Feb 2021 we Vikasa Tarangini Srikakulam have conducted various events to create and spread Cancer awareness.

We conducted Cancer Awareness Rally from Sri Venkateswara University to Etcherla for a distance of 4km with the 300 students of Venkateswara college from 10 am. Then, from 11:30 am we held a Cancer Awareness Programme exclusively for Female Students with Radiation Oncologist Dr Sri. Venkata Ramana (GEMS Hospital, Srikakulam) who delivered a speech on Cervical Cancer, Smt Namratha (Emergency Care Specialist, GEMS hospital, Srikakulam)

who delivered a speech on Breast Cancer and Dr M. Navya (Physician) who gave general awareness about health and hygiene. VT Dist. Coordinator Smt Usha Sree spoke on  VIA test and showed various Mahila Arogya Vikas services and medical camps in Srikakulam.

Mahila Arogya Vikas district coordinator Smt. Shyamala, Suneetha and other VT Volunteers Sri Ramarao Garu, Bhupal Garu, Chi. Uttham and Venkateswara University Director Sri Srirammurty Garu, Venkateswara Pharmacy college Principal Sri Nagoji participated in the morning session.

Later, In the afternoon session, we conducted a cancer Awareness Programme for Junior college students (both boys and girls) at Santhinikethan Junior College, Srikakulam. Dr. Venkata Ramana (Oncologist) discussed various types of cancers seen in male and female and ways for early diagnosis and their prevention. He also explained 25 types of cancers in various parts caused because of tobacco smoking. Smt. Usha Sree discussed the significance of world cancer day and the objectives of our Mahila Arogya Vikas. Smt M.Shyamala (Mahila Arogya Vikas district coordinator), Smt. Jaya guru (MAV volunteer), chi. Venkata Harsha VT Volunteer participated in the program
