Recognising that a healthy woman builds a healthy family and society, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji established Mahila Arogya Vikasa (Women’s Healthcare Initiative) in 2007. Through Vikasa Tarangini volunteers, free women’s health camps are being conducted not only across both Telugu states but also in various parts of India and Nepal.
These camps focus on women’s health issues that they often hesitate to express openly, including menstrual and reproductive health. The VIA test, approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), is conducted for screening. Using a colposcope, health educators show women their health condition, raise awareness, and provide necessary medicines free of cost.
India ranks second in cervical and breast cancer cases, making early detection extremely important. Without using the word “cancer” to avoid fear, Mahila Arogya Vikasa has completed 1,523 camps, offering screening services to lakhs of women and helping protect them from life-threatening health risks.
On 16-10-2025 (Thursday), a free women’s health camp was conducted at Mutharam Gram Panchayat, Mutharam Mandal, Peddapalli District, in memory of Smt. Manga, wife of Sri Bollineni Ashok Rao. With support from doctors of Chelemeda Hospital, screening was done for 225 women, and free medicines were distributed.
The camp was organised by the Central Mahila Arogya Vikasa team with the support of Vikasa Tarangini volunteers from Karimnagar, Peddapalli, and Godavarikhani.
The program was graced by Peddapalli District Collector Sri Koya Sriharsha, District Medical Officer Smt. Srivani, and village elders, who appreciated the noble service.
Mahila Arogya Vikasa continues its mission — Empowering Women, Strengthening Society.
HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji – The Visionary Founder
Our revered Acharya HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji’s vision behind initiating “Women Health Care” is to remind us that women’s health must be given utmost priority, as they are the ones who nurture and care for the entire family. It is therefore our responsibility to safeguard their well-being. As Swamiji emphasizes, prevention is always better than cure.
