Normally a team of 30 student members constitute a JYC in a college. Activities taken up by this team are monitored,
evaluated and guided. Members of this team are eligible for rewards, awards, certifications and recognitions. Students
who are not part of 30-member team can also participate in the activities as affiliate members. However, they are not
eligible to elect the executive committee ( 7-member executive committee ). Affiliate members will have first priority to
be admitted as regular members when JYC gets reconstituted every year. Students who are not either affiliate members
or regular members are also eligible to participate in the activities. However, they will not be entitled to receive any
certifications. There is no maximum limit to admit as affiliate members. The executive committee of JYC is authorised to
admit as many students as deemed necessary as affiliate members
Every year in the month of October the JYC gets reconstituted, by that time, it is expected that all new admissions are
completed and newly admitted students will also have an opportunity to participate in 30 member JYC or participate as
affiliated member. Out going students from the College will provide vacancies for the new members.
Yes. As alumni member he can participate in all activities however he cannot hold any position in the Executive
Committee. Since Yuva Vikas intends to provide an opportunity for life long engagement students who have completed their
studies and settled in their careers can also participate as volunteers and continue to get associated with Yuva Vikas
No. Membership is free. As long as a student is willing to abide by the rules and regulations of JYC, he is eligible to
participate
There is no restriction to any individual member to correspond with Yuva Vikas Team in so far as the subjects relating to
his individual development, ideas and suggestions. However, when the programs are to be taken up Executive Committee
needs to correspond as a Team.
There is no restriction to form more than one JYC in a single college provided the Management of the College takes a
conscious decision for justifiable reasons.
Each member of the JYC is given a distinct enrolment ID and his participation in various activities including the
voluntary work will be counted for awarding commendations at the end of college period.
Sub Committees act like functional committees. In order to make any activity successful, it requires the wider
consultation and participation. In order to provide role to every participant sub-committees are designed. There is no
restriction for any student not to contribute to the work of other sub committees however when decision making is required
Executive Committee of JYC makes final decisions.
JYCs are free to suggest any other programs as they wish to implement. Yuva Vikas Team will explore all possibilities
and continue to guide any such other activity which is aligned with the objectives of JYC. List of activities shown in the
brochure are only indicative and not exhaustive. Every JYC should strive to take up at least 8 events/ programs every year in
their college.
Normally a JYC shall meet at least twice in a month. However, they may conduct meetings more frequently as may be
required to plan and execute programs. Every time when they meet and discuss it shall be the customary practice to
record the minutes and attendance of members.
Yes. Every JYC is requested to prepare an annual action plan and identify the activities proposed to be taken up in a
year ( Calendar of Activities ). Such action plan may be communicated to Yuva Vikas Team to enable them give guidance and
extend support.
JYCs are requested to submit their monthly reports to the email of Yuva Vikas Team. However, they may send reports,
photographs etc as and when events are conducted. Their activities will be published in vtsbharath.org website which has
viewership world wide
No. Vikasa Tarangini follows a strict non-discriminatory policy. Every student irrespective his personal faith, religion,
caste or creed can join the activities.
