Early Cancer Detection Program in Mountain Agencies of Araku Valley by Vikasa Tarangini Visakhapatnam
On June 24th 2010, early cancer detection training session was conducted in Paderu.
21 women from Paderu and 5 nurses from vizag have participated in the training.
On June 25th 2010, cancer medical camp was conducted in Araku.
108 women attended the camp. Early detection tests VIA (Visual Inspection through 5% Acetic Acid) and Papsmear tests with coloposcope were conducted.
The volunteers went into the highly difficult mountainous terrain and created awareness among the scattered hamlets and tribals.
