On 22nd January 2017 Mahila Arogya Vikas, Gudimalkapur Vikasa Tarangini had conducted Women Health Awarness Camp at Singareni Colony, Aganwadi Center, Champpapet, Hyderabad to create awareness about health, hygine and cancer prevention.
Mahila Arogya Vikas volunteers used pictorial representation of several stages of cervical infections which proved to be more effective way to create awareness and educate them. The team educated women about their condition by giving them a free checkup and medication where necessary.
Mr& Mrs Lalitha Pawan of Eklavya Foundation and Anganwadi Teacher Mrs. Annapurna who runs the anganwadi center for kids of Singereni slum helped the team by canvassing about the camp in local areas and by helping with local arrangements. Medicines were organized by Doctor Mr.Vishwa Teja. Other expenses were sponsored by Ms. Krishna Priya. Local people expressed their gratitude for the wonderful services rendered by Mahila Arogya Vikas.
Eklavya Foundation Founder Mr. Prasad expressed interest to collaborate with Mahila Arogya Vikas and do many such camps in Singareni Slum.
