How many of us have recently come across a loved one suffer from serious health hazard such as cancer? It’s a painful ailment and it hurts to see one suffer from it.
Nepal Vikasa Tarangini team of volunteers have been doing their bit of educating people about regular health check-ups and there-by supporting in early detection of diseases such as cancer. It goes beyond the screening and supports people in further treatment by funding low income groups as necessary.
On the 6th and 7th of November 2017, Kunta Beshi Kavre, Mahila Arogya Vikas organised a women health camp.
- 211 women utilized the services
- 191 women underwent VIA test
- 38 women were referred for immediate treatment
- 20 women were given medication for cervicitis
- 18 women were asked to follow up after one month
This brings up to 37 camps by the team in the year!
The camp was led by Vikasa Tarangini team and was a collective effort by Phect Nepal Model Hospotal, Kathmandu and Sriman Bhola Dhital and Vice Mayor of the Municipality Srimanthi Nirmal Shai and her team! Dr.Nishma sharma and her team have played a huge part in conducting the camp.
