In a proactive initiative, Srikakulam VT collaborated with the Critical Care Department of Medicover Hospital, Srikakulam, to organize a comprehensive training session on Basic Life Support (CPR) and First Aid. The primary focus of this session was to sensitize the responsible youth at IIIT Srikakulam about the critical role they can play as first responders in life-threatening situations, such as cardiac arrest and choking incidents.

Dr. Prakash, the esteemed Head of the Critical Care Department, shared invaluable insights into various medical emergencies, including Cardiac Arrest, Brain Stroke, Snake Bite, Dog Bite, and choking incidents. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on training, participants were guided through the essential steps of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Additionally, Smt. Usha Sree introduced the attendees to JYC (Jeeyar Youth Club) and VT’s commendable activities. Both students and faculty members of IIIT received this introduction with enthusiasm and interest. Dr. P. Jagadeeswar Garu, the Director of IIIT, expressed his genuine appreciation for the valuable services provided by VT and motivated the students to actively engage with JYC.

The program received a highly positive response from the students, who found the content engaging and enlightening. This initiative not only provided crucial life-saving knowledge but also empowered the youth to contribute meaningfully during critical moments.
